Shane Hamblin is Head of Endocrinology & Diabetes, Western Health, Melbourne, a consultant endocrinologist at The Alfred, Melbourne and President-Elect of the Endocrine Society of Australia. He is a member of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC), and has honorary academic appointments at The University of Melbourne, Monash University and Deakin University. He has clinical interests in diabetes and general endocrinology and research interests in diabetes. He enjoys teaching medical students, HMOs and Registrars and in turn learning from them.
